How To Find People when it comes to accumulating online traffic
Let’s face it, online marketing becomes its most difficult when it comes to accumulating traffic to our websites and from the traffic, gaining followers and customers. Posting on social media is a good way to start, but that can get to be mundane and the posts on Facebook only last about 30 minutes to an hour before they disappear and get lost in the flurry of other posts and cat videos.
This is where something called lead generation comes into play. Lead generation is the marketing method of grabbing and keeping a consumer’s attention and getting them interested in your products or service. As technology and trends change, means of successfully gaining leads will also change. So let’s discuss some of the new and effective ways you can improve your online marketing
Seeing is Believing
Did you know that 65% of us are visual learners? We should be utilizing this fact and try adding a video to your website. Something around or under five minutes is suggested, as most consumers do not want to sit through anything much longer. Quick and to the point is best. Youtube is owned by Google and it’s extremely easy to get your videos ranked on the first page.
If a video isn’t something you are able to do, try displaying a few 3D photos of your product – views from all angles. Or if you’re offering a service, before and after photos of your services rendered are good to show your potential customers, too.
It is also important to have a clear Call To Action (CTA) on your website. Displaying this as a button on the page is more effective and gives the consumer an access point of getting the process of purchasing, enrolling, or signing up for your newsletters.
Less is More
Try giving less choices when it comes to their options. If we look at Hick’s Law – the time it makes for a person to make a decision as a result of the choices they are given – less choices is a good thing, because it cuts down on consumer confusion and quicker decisions.
Try making a trade. Make extraordinary and informative posts downloadable for free in exchange for an email address. For example, the site, Quoteroller, put together a list of SEO directories in Australia, which was receiving over 800 visits per month, but still was not generating leads. When they added the option to download the post as a PDF in return for an email address, this small action resulted in over 200 new subscribers.
Taking Actionable Steps
Make sure to be consistent. Commit to your blog and make sure you actually do it. I know it sounds simple to some, but it is not always easy to keep up with blog postings. So try writing out a schedule a few weeks ahead of time, jotting down notes as to what topics you’ll cover in these upcoming posts. It will give you a nice layout and if you plan in advance, you can gather more information which will make for happy readers.
Social Media Frenzy
Utilize Twitter. Twitter is a beast when it comes to social media, and the great advantage for you is that it can give you real time information as to who is interested in what you’re doing. I’m talking usernames and uses of hashtags which makes it easier to reach out. Not to mention that there is the option to promote your tweets. Krave cereal did a test and found that customers who were exposed to sponsored tweets of their products were actually 12% more likely to have an intent to purchase from them. While these kinds of tweets would be considered sponsored content, they should still look like typical tweets that you see in your feed because even though you’re paying for an audience, you need to keep your posts fun and valuable for that audience. This can be very effective when it comes to multi-level marketing (MLM) because with a simple click of one button, other users can repost your tweets – this is known as a retweet – and all of their followers will also see it.
Google+ is another online community and it brings people with common interests together. Much like a trending topic, Google+ offers up the chance to become what is known as an influencer and your profile as well as your posts reach other members on the entire network.
